...on the teaching:

The full-time course is really well structured. It fitted neatly around my part-time job.”

There was a heavy use of e-learning, which I found extremely helpful.”

“I didn't want to go to a pretentious provider. Having completed a placement scheme at a national firm, I wanted a similar non-stuck up atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly and the teaching was perfectly suited to me. The lecturers didn't talk down to you; you worked through things together.”

Fees are low at De Montfort University, but LPCers still have access to their own library and common room, in a purpose-built, environmentally friendly law school building. It's got a lot of the usual electives, plus a few unusual ones like child care law and sports and media law. In addition, there are some interesting pro bono opportunities, as well as a mentoring programme. DMU's a good call for busy students, with face-to-face lectures limited to two days a week and attendance at lectures optional.
